🤗 Our summer staff are here! It’s incredible. Steve and I booked off work from our fulltime jobs to get everyone started here. I can’t wait to introduce you to these wonderful people who have joined the team. They’re already making a tremendous impact #fortheanimals
💪🏻 We unloaded 26,250lbs of hay! Some of our amazing volunteers were back helping with this delivery - it’s been a long time without them.
🐷 Charlize and Pippa integrated in with Big Momma and Roxy, so now they spend their days altogether in the grass paddock, and they love it!
🦛 The pigs have turned into baby hippos! Blowing coats everywhere - cutest!
🔨 The team has taken down all the old fencing in our big meadow, so it’s almost ready to put up a safe new 5ft no climb fence. They’re still cutting trees back off the fence lines and cleaning up. Our new meadow will get divided in half for rotational grazing - a dream of mine for the horses!!
💡 @maclecelectrical were here and installed a safe vapour tight led light in the goat barn (no more battery lanterns!), an outdoor light, and an outlet so we can more safely use a fan for Roxy. This power will get extended over for Arnie next.
🐽 The sweet piggies went famous on YouTube! Thanks to the @yoga_with_kassandra and the Pigs fundraiser, a lot of money has been raised for the animals. I’m going to do a separate post on this amazing initiative that has meant soooo much to us.

🥵 How did you beat the heat this week?! We’ve got mud baths, fresh water pools, sprinklers & fans! We also added some extra 1x1 wire mesh at the chickie house to keep the windows wide open all night long.
